Mark has been consulting since 1986 and has advised numerous organizations in the areas of management development, executive coaching and development, team building and group dynamics, organizational assessment, and diversity management, assessment and strategy development.
He has worked in a wide variety of organizations, including: Baxter, Booz Allen Hamilton, CIGNA, Comcast, CoreStates Financial, CINERGY, Dupont, Environmental Leadership Program, Goldman Sachs, JPMorganChase, Leadership Program, Lucent, Nike, The Prudential, Shell, Tropicana, The United Nations, Vanguard, Wachovia and others. He has worked on four continents, in many environments, and with all levels of management.
Mark’s primary interest is in working at and across boundaries. His work with issues of diversity has helped to expand his perspective and skills in working across difference. He is well grounded in the theory and practice of managing diversity and is always looking for opportunities to apply those perspectives as broadly as possible.
Mark’s work has been published in two books (The Diversity Factor and The Promise of Diversity) and quoted in The New York Times and The Philadelphia Inquirer. His articles have appeared in leading business magazines. He is a frequent speaker and has addressed the national conferences of The American Management Association, AT&T’s LEAGUE, The National Multicultural Institute, The Organization Development Network, The Society for Human Resource Management and others.
Mark’s formal education began with a B.A. in Psychology at the University of Florida, followed by a M.S. in Human Resource Development at Villanova. He completed the domestic and international Organization and Systems Development Programs at The Gestalt Institute of Cleveland. He is an active participant and leader in the OD Network and is on the faculty of NTL’s Diversity Practitioner Certificate Program. Mark lives in Philadelphia.
